Minutes of the Meeting held on Wednesday 20th June 2007

Minutes of the Meeting of 21st May were approved.
Pippa Goscombe had agreed to join the committee and would be invited
to the next meeting. PW
Disabled toilets – it was agreed not to pursue this.
First Aid: Dr. Helen Roberts had been approached. She would be happy
to help another year but may not be available in 2007. Agreed to revert
to relying on the qualified First Aiders already on the Green who can be
alerted via the Information Tent. HB
Division of Responsibilities – to be discussed after the show
Alder Valley Brass Band – now confirmed SW
Wurlitzer – confirmed
Punch & Judy – now confirmed
Climbing Wall – now confirmed GY/PH
Mike Suter now confirmed as replacement for Alan Hunt on Show Day SW
(Alan Hunt available on Friday evening to assist) LW
Sponsorship: Sir Ray Tindle – confirmed LW
Inchcape – confirmed LW
Cannons – confirmed
Bat & Ball – confirmed SW
Hones – confirmed
Programme & Poster Printing:
Posters – A3 and A4 printed and distributed at meeting to
be put in place on the last weekend of June
Programmes – printed – to be collated this Saturday evening
23rd June at 14 Longdown Road 8-8.30pm by any available
committee – RG,PH,SW,GK, LW?
After careful recording of the numbers given, these
would be distributed to the shops together with
a money bag or box and a contact ‘phone number.
Grand Draw Tickets & Programme Sales outside the Newsagents in the Bourne
to take place over the weekend of 14th/15th July – Rota attached separately.
Tables: Scouts had 10 non-foldable and Weydon 40 non-foldable.
Frensham Fayre has 25 folding and SW in negotiations about
hire charge. No need to hire commercially. SW
Silent Auction: No additional items had been offered. A note was being
placed in the Bourne Broadsheet to ask for donations
for this and to include requests for plants and cakes RG
Financial Report:
HB reported that he had purchased 5 new gazebos at a cost of £54.90
The Current Account held £502.35 (cheque for £500 to Woodlarks had
not yet been cashed). Reserve account £4,205.12 and petty cash £210.
Stall Bookings 2007: 24 charity stalls; 9 trade SW
Show Checklist 2007:
Opener – Cllr Denise Le Gal – needs to know timings and if anything
special to say. SJW will brief SJW
Dog Show – Lucy Hart has nominated Lisanne Madeleine (sp?) in
her place. CS
Karting Kapers or a substitute is confirmed SW
Rubbish Clearance. Last year’s set up worked well. PH will organise PH
Fire Engine – unable to confirm PH
Face Painting – 2 charities have offered. Will not follow up commercial. SW
Plant Stall – Sue Goater not available. Up to committee and friends ALL
Cake Stall – Up to committee and friends. ALL
Activity in Marquee – Mr. Lewis will draw portraits PH
Photographic Competition – SW has boards. GY will organise and set up
on Saturday morning SW/GY
Farm Animals – these will require water on tap
Tennis Tournament – Competition sorted – PH will check about prize PH
Sports – Carole Warnock willing to organise
Fruit Stall – Mr. & Mrs. Over and Dr. & Mrs. May will organise

St. James’ Stall, as agreed SW
25 more rope pins had been purchased SW
